  1. Develop and implement strategies to increase community involvement and engagement in city initiatives and projects.
  2. Plan and facilitate public meetings, forums, and events to gather feedback and input from residents.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the city and community organizations, businesses, and residents.
  4. Collaborate with various city departments to ensure effective and inclusive public engagement processes.
  5. Create and distribute communication materials, including social media posts, newsletters, and press releases, to promote public engagement opportunities.
  6. Conduct research and gather data to inform public engagement efforts and track community feedback.
  7. Respond to inquiries and concerns from residents regarding city projects and initiatives.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community leaders to foster ongoing engagement.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusivity initiatives within public engagement processes.
  10. Keep abreast of current events and community issues to identify potential areas for public engagement.
  11. Work closely with city officials and staff to ensure community input is considered in decision-making processes.
  12. Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of public engagement efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Represent the city at community events and meetings to promote public engagement opportunities.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all public engagement activities.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve public engagement processes and strategies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Public Engagement, Community Outreach, Or Public Relations.

  • Strong Oral And Written Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Present Information To Diverse Audiences.

  • Experience With Project Management And The Ability To Coordinate And Facilitate Meetings And Events.

  • Knowledge Of Local Government Processes And Regulations Related To Public Engagement And Community Outreach.
