- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for individuals on probation, based on their specific needs and goals.
- Conduct intake assessments and ongoing evaluations to assess progress and identify areas for growth and improvement.
- Provide counseling and support services to individuals on probation, including individual and group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with probation officers, court personnel, and other relevant parties to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to rehabilitation and reintegration.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and interventions to address criminogenic risk factors and promote positive behavior change.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress, including documentation of counseling sessions and treatment plans.
- Connect individuals with community resources and support services to address their needs and promote successful reintegration.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with court-ordered conditions of probation, including drug testing, community service, and restitution.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide support to individuals in times of need.
- Stay current on developments and best practices in the field of probation counseling and incorporate them into daily practice.
- Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals on probation, while also upholding the principles of public safety and accountability.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and collaborate on treatment plans.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and stay abreast of changes in the criminal justice system.
- Act as a positive and supportive role model for individuals on probation and promote a culture of rehabilitation and reintegration within the community.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In The Criminal Justice System, Preferably In A Probation Or Parole Setting.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices And Interventions For Managing And Supporting Individuals On Probation.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Establish Rapport With Diverse Populations.
Ability To Maintain Accurate Records, Write Comprehensive Reports, And Utilize Technology For Case Management Purposes.
