Job Description

The City of Seattle is looking for an experienced, motivated, and organized Permit Services Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the development of our great city.In this role, you will be responsible for managing the permitting services of the City of Seattle. You will be expected to develop and implement innovative strategies to improve the permitting process, ensure compliance with local and state regulations, and promote customer service excellence. You will also be responsible for leading a team of permit specialists to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in permit services or related field and a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Business Administration, or a related field. Demonstrated knowledge of the laws and regulations associated with permit services is also required. You should be a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders. A customer-focused approach, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
