Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Manager, People & Culture Business Partner to join the City of Seattle’s Human Resources Department. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Manager, People & Culture Business Partner will work in partnership with key business leaders and stakeholders to build an innovative and engaging culture that fosters collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. This role requires a strategic and analytical individual who is able to develop strong relationships and establish a strong HR presence in the organization. To be successful in this role, the individual must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a focus on employee relations, performance management, onboarding and employee engagement. The individual must also possess an understanding of all HR disciplines, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee development, and organizational design. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships, are essential. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred. The successful candidate should also have a strong customer service orientation, be a problem solver and be willing to take initiative.
