In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and visualizing housing data to inform policy and strategic planning.   1. Conduct analysis of housing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform policy and strategic planning.
  2. Develop and maintain visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate complex data to stakeholders at all levels.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand data needs for various projects and initiatives.
  4. Utilize various data analysis techniques, such as statistical modeling and data mining, to uncover insights and support decision making.
  5. Manage and maintain databases and data systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  6. Identify and recommend new data sources and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data analysis.
  7. Lead and/or participate in projects related to housing data, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  8. Communicate findings and insights to a non-technical audience in a clear and engaging manner.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to data analysis and management systems.
  10. Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to collect, analyze, and share data for joint initiatives and partnerships.
  11. Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to continuously develop skills and knowledge related to data analysis and management systems.
  12. Act as a subject matter expert on data analysis and management systems, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
  13. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and procedures.
  14. Proactively identify and address any data quality issues or discrepancies.
  15. Contribute to the development and implementation of data-driven strategies and initiatives to improve housing in the City of Seattle.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Systems, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Data Analysis And Visualization, Preferably In The Housing Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Management Systems And Data Structures.

  • Experience With Data Visualization Tools Such As Tableau, Power Bi, Or Qlik.

  • Excellent Communication And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders.
