
Library Associate II

- Greet and assist library patrons in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, recommending resources, and resolving issues.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of library resources, services, and policies in order to effectively assist patrons.
- Assist with circulation tasks such as checking out materials, processing returns, and collecting fines.
- Help patrons navigate the library's online catalog and databases.
- Provide basic technology assistance, such as troubleshooting computer and printer issues.
- Plan and execute library programs and events, including promoting them to the community.
- Keep library materials organized and shelves stocked, including shelving books and other materials.
- Conduct basic research and reference services as needed.
- Collaborate with other library staff to develop and implement new services and programs.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and statistics related to library usage and services.
- Follow established safety protocols and ensure a clean and welcoming environment for patrons.
- Demonstrate a commitment to promoting literacy and lifelong learning in the community.
- Contribute to the overall success of the library system by actively participating in team meetings and providing input on improving services.
Bachelor's Degree In Library Science, Information Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Library Setting, Preferably In A Public Library.
Strong Knowledge Of Library Operations, Including Cataloging, Circulation, And Reference Services.
Excellent Customer Service Skills And Experience Working With Diverse Populations.
Proficiency In Using Library Software And Technology, Such As Integrated Library Systems And Online Databases.
