
Fire Protection Engineer

- Develop and implement fire protection systems for various structures in the city, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Conduct thorough analyses of building plans and designs to identify potential fire hazards and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, builders, and other stakeholders to incorporate fire protection systems into building plans.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of existing fire protection systems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Review and approve fire protection plans and designs submitted by developers, contractors, and other entities.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and changes in fire protection technology, and make recommendations for implementing new systems or processes.
- Train and educate city staff and the community on fire protection measures and procedures.
- Investigate and analyze fire incidents to determine the root cause and identify ways to prevent similar incidents in the future.
- Work closely with other city departments and agencies to coordinate fire protection efforts and ensure a comprehensive approach to public safety.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all fire protection plans, designs, and inspections.
- Represent the city in meetings and discussions related to fire protection and public safety.
- Conduct research and provide expert advice on fire protection matters to city officials and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing job duties.
- May be required to respond to emergency situations and provide expert guidance and support to first responders.
- Continuously evaluate and improve fire protection procedures and protocols to ensure optimal effectiveness and efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree In Fire Protection Engineering Or Related Field.
Professional Engineer (Pe) License In Fire Protection Engineering.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Fire Protection Engineering, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Local And National Fire Codes And Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Departments And Stakeholders.
