  1. Develop and implement strategies for promoting positive and productive relationships between employees and management.
  2. Serve as a resource and advisor to management and employees on all matters related to employee and labor relations.
  3. Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and concerns and recommend appropriate actions.
  4. Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
  5. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to resolve workplace conflicts and maintain a fair and inclusive work environment.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs on employee and labor relations topics.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry and legal trends related to employee and labor relations.
  8. Serve as the primary point of contact for labor unions and negotiate collective bargaining agreements.
  9. Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on disciplinary and performance management issues.
  10. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all employee and labor relations activities.
  11. Partner with HR team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee and labor relations.
  12. Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement in employee and labor relations.
  13. Collaborate with other HR professionals to ensure consistency and alignment in HR practices.
  14. Act as a liaison between the City and external agencies and organizations related to employee and labor relations.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance employee and labor relations processes and practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Labor Relations, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Employee Or Labor Relations, Preferably In A Public Sector Or Unionized Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Labor Laws, Collective Bargaining Agreements, And Grievance Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Resolve Conflicts And Build Positive Relationships With Employees And Union Representatives.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities, With The Capability To Interpret Data And Make Informed Decisions To Support The Organization's Goals And Objectives.
