Job Description

  1. Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees and labor unions, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  2. Serve as a subject matter expert on employee and labor relations matters, providing guidance and support to management and employees.
  3. Stay up-to-date on relevant labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and mitigating any potential risks or conflicts.
  4. Conduct investigations into employee grievances and complaints, working towards resolution and promoting a fair and equitable workplace.
  5. Collaborate with HR and legal teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee and labor relations.
  6. Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on employee performance and disciplinary actions.
  7. Develop and deliver trainings on employee and labor relations topics to promote understanding and compliance within the organization.
  8. Represent the organization in negotiations with labor unions and participate in collective bargaining processes.
  9. Act as a mediator in employee disputes, working towards resolution and maintaining positive relationships.
  10. Analyze data and trends related to employee and labor relations, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to leadership.
  11. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all employee and labor relations activities.
  12. Collaborate with diversity and inclusion initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace for all employees.
  13. Act as an advocate for employees, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  14. Stay current on industry best practices and continuously seek opportunities for professional development in the field of employee and labor relations.
  15. Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Labor Relations, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Employee And Labor Relations, Preferably In A Municipal Or Government Setting.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Employment Laws, Collective Bargaining Agreements, And Labor Relations Principles.

  • Strong Communication, Negotiation, And Conflict Resolution Skills.

  • Experience Developing And Implementing Policies, Procedures, And Programs Related To Employee And Labor Relations.
