Job Description

The City of Seattle is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Emergency Manager to join our team and take the lead in developing and implementing comprehensive emergency response plans that protect and serve the citizens of Seattle. Our ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of emergency management principles, practices, and techniques. The Emergency Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of emergency management activities for the City of Seattle. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field• 5+ years of experience in emergency management, public safety, public health, or related field• Comprehensive knowledge of emergency management principles, practices, and techniques• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills • Demonstrated commitment to public service and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders in the public and private sector
