Delivery Driver 2 (Bookmobile)

- Operate the Bookmobile vehicle in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Deliver books and other library materials to designated locations throughout the city, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and book deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service to patrons by assisting with book recommendations, answering questions, and providing information about library services.
- Collaborate with library staff to plan and execute Bookmobile programs and events.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized Bookmobile, ensuring books are properly shelved and displayed.
- Represent the City of Seattle and the Bookmobile program in a professional and positive manner.
- Assist with loading and unloading of books and other materials.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Continuously strive to improve the Bookmobile program and identify ways to better serve the community.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of yourself and others.
Valid Driver's License: A Delivery Driver 2 (Bookmobile) Must Have A Valid Driver's License In Order To Operate The Bookmobile, Which Serves As A Mobile Library For The Community.
Cdl Certification: The City Of Seattle May Require A Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) For This Position, As The Bookmobile May Exceed Weight Limits For A Regular Driver's License.
Experience Driving Large Vehicles: The Delivery Driver 2 (Bookmobile) Should Have Experience Driving Large Vehicles, As The Bookmobile Is A Larger Than Normal Vehicle And May Require Specialized Skills To Maneuver In Tight Spaces.
Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects: The Job May Involve Loading And Unloading Books And Other Materials Onto The Bookmobile, So The Candidate Should Be Physically Capable Of Lifting And Carrying Heavy Objects.
Knowledge Of Traffic Laws And Safety Regulations: The Delivery Driver 2 (Bookmobile) Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Traffic Laws And Safety Regulations In Order To Operate The Bookmobile Safely And Efficiently On The Roads.
