Provide counseling and case management services to Punjabi-speaking clients in the Seattle community.
Utilize bilingual skills and cultural competency to effectively communicate and connect with clients.
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers and therapists, to provide comprehensive care for clients.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for clients, promoting a sense of belonging and cultural understanding.
Stay up-to-date on best practices and research in counseling and case management, particularly as it relates to the Punjabi community.
Advocate for clients and their needs within the larger community and navigate any cultural or language barriers that may arise.
Represent the City of Seattle in a professional and positive manner, upholding the values and mission of the organization.
Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge in serving diverse communities.
Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide clients with additional support and services.
Act as a resource and mentor for other staff members in regards to working with the Punjabi community.
Maintain ethical and legal standards in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and the community.
Continuously strive to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families in the Punjabi community through counseling and case management services.

Job Qualifications

Fluency In Punjabi Language: The First And Most Essential Qualification For This Role Is Fluency In Punjabi Language. The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively In Both Spoken And Written Form In Order To Provide Counseling And Case Management Services To Punjabi-Speaking Individuals.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Social Work Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Social Work Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Counselor-Case Manager Role. A Master's Degree May Also Be Preferred, Depending On The Specific Requirements Of The Position.
Counseling And Case Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Providing Counseling And Case Management Services To Diverse Populations. This Could Include Experience In Mental Health Counseling, Substance Abuse Treatment, Or Social Work.
Bilingual Experience: In Addition To Fluency In Punjabi, The Candidate Should Also Have Experience Working In A Bilingual Setting. This Could Include Previous Work Experience In A Similar Role Or Experience Providing Services To Bilingual Individuals.
Knowledge Of Community Resources: As A Counselor-Case Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Connecting Clients With Appropriate Community Resources And Services. Therefore, Knowledge Of The Local Community, Including Available Resources And Services, Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role.
