- Oversee all construction and repair projects for the Recreation Equipment team.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment for crew members.
- Train and supervise crew members on proper equipment repair and maintenance techniques.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and address any potential safety hazards.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate repair and maintenance efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of all equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service to city residents and visitors utilizing recreational equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices for equipment repair and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment malfunctions or issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing repair and maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors regarding project updates and any issues that may arise.
- Represent the Parks and Recreation Department in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Extensive Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Construction And Repair Of Recreation Equipment, Including Playground Structures, Sports Courts, And Other Recreational Facilities.
Leadership Skills: Proven Ability To Lead A Crew Of Workers And Effectively Manage Project Timelines, Budgets, And Resources.
Technical Knowledge: Strong Understanding Of Construction Principles, Techniques, And Materials, As Well As The Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints And Schematics.
Safety Conscious: Demonstrated Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Construction And Repair Work, With A Commitment To Ensuring A Safe Work Environment For All Crew Members.
Communication Skills: Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Crew Members, Contractors, And City Officials.
