Construction & Maintenance Equipment Operator

As a Construction & Maintenance Equipment Operator at the City of Seattle, you will be part of a team that is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of construction and maintenance equipment including backhoes, dozers, tractors, and other machines. You will provide vital support to the City in its mission to create a safe, healthy, and prosperous environment for its citizens. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong commitment to safety and customer service, as well as a working knowledge of construction and maintenance equipment. We’re looking for someone who is reliable and knowledgeable, with a “can-do” attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges. You should also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience operating construction and maintenance equipment.
