  1. Develop and implement strategic communication plans to promote community engagement and open communication with residents.
  2. Create engaging and impactful messaging to inform the public about city initiatives, policies, and services.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with community members, stakeholders, and media outlets.
  4. Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistency in messaging and communication efforts.
  5. Monitor and analyze media coverage and public perception of city initiatives and policies.
  6. Manage and update the city's website and social media accounts.
  7. Write and edit communication materials such as press releases, newsletters, and presentations.
  8. Coordinate and facilitate public events and community meetings.
  9. Serve as a spokesperson for the city, responding to media inquiries and representing the city at public events.
  10. Stay informed about current events and issues affecting the city and provide recommendations for communication strategies.
  11. Work closely with city leadership to advise on communication strategies and provide updates on public perception and feedback.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve communication processes and strategies.
  13. Train and advise city staff on effective communication techniques and practices.
  14. Keep up-to-date with emerging communication trends and technologies.
  15. Uphold the city's values and mission in all communication efforts.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Communications, Media Relations, Or Public Relations.

  • Strong Understanding Of Social Media And Digital Communications Strategies.

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Departments And Stakeholders To Develop And Implement Effective Communication Plans.
