  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the city's major capital projects, ensuring alignment with the city's overall goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
  • Collaborate with city departments and external stakeholders to identify project needs, objectives, and requirements, and incorporate their input into project plans.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to project teams, city leadership, and stakeholders on complex capital project issues, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any potential issues or delays to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including contractors, consultants, and vendors, to ensure effective and efficient project delivery.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing direction, support, and guidance to ensure high-quality work and the achievement of project goals.
  • Review and approve project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring they align with project goals and city standards.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in capital program management, and incorporate them into project planning and execution.
  • Represent the city in public meetings and forums, communicating project updates and progress to stakeholders and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to capital projects, including environmental and safety standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Urban Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Project Management, Preferably In The Public Sector, With A Focus On Capital Programs.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Complex Capital Projects, Including Budgeting, Procurement, And Contract Management.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Provide Strategic Advice And Recommendations For Capital Program Planning And Implementation.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders, Including Community Groups And Government Agencies.
