Job Description

The City of Seattle is looking for an experienced and motivated Budget Analyst Strategic Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Finance Department, the Budget Analyst Strategic Advisor will be responsible for providing financial analysis, strategy and policy advice to the Finance Director, Mayor and City Council. We are looking for an individual who is a creative problem solver and has excellent communication and organizational skills.This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, as well as at least five years of experience in financial analysis, budget and policy development. The successful candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of municipal budgeting and accounting principles, a commitment to customer service, and a passion for public policy. The Budget Analyst Strategic Advisor must be an analytical thinker who can develop innovative solutions to complex problems. The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and the capacity to think strategically are essential for success in this role. Candidates must also be able to work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate an understanding of the City’s commitment to equity and social justice.
