Assist in the planning and design of public works projects, ensuring they meet all necessary codes, regulations, and standards.
Conduct research and gather data to support the development of project plans and proposals.
Collaborate with senior civil engineers and other team members to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for city projects.
Assist in the preparation of project reports, cost estimates, and other technical documents.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design plans.
Communicate and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Participate in meetings and presentations to provide updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.
Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in civil engineering technology and practices.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the city's infrastructure improvement plans.
Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures on all projects.
Foster positive relationships with community members and stakeholders to promote the city's projects and initiatives.
Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Uphold the city's values and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Civil Engineering Or Construction Management
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations And Codes Related To Civil Engineering Projects
Proficiency In Autocad And Other Relevant Software Programs
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders Such As Contractors, Engineers, And City Officials.
