  10. Act as a liaison between the city and local community groups to promote environmental sustainability and educate the public on wastewater treatment.
  11. Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts related to wastewater treatment.
  12. Conduct research and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements to wastewater treatment systems.
  13. Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  14. Communicate regularly with city officials and stakeholders to provide updates on wastewater treatment operations and any potential issues.

Job Qualifications

  • Relevant Education And Experience: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, As Well As At Least Two Years Of Experience In Wastewater Treatment, Operations, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Wastewater Treatment Processes: Demonstrated Understanding Of The Principles And Practices Of Wastewater Treatment, Including Knowledge Of Equipment, Instrumentation, And Regulatory Requirements.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Various Types Of Wastewater Treatment Equipment, Such As Pumps, Valves, And Motors. Ability To Troubleshoot And Make Minor Repairs As Needed.

  • Safety And Compliance: Familiarity With Safety Procedures, Protocols, And Regulations Related To Wastewater Treatment Operations. Ability To Adhere To All Safety Guidelines And Ensure Compliance With Environmental Regulations.

  • Communication And Teamwork: Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Diverse Team. Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Supervisors, Colleagues, And The Public.
