  1. Lead and supervise a team of planning and development professionals to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects and tasks.
  2. Develop and implement long-term strategies and policies for community development and growth in alignment with the city's goals and objectives.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders and community members to gather feedback and input on proposed development plans and projects.
  4. Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform decision-making and provide recommendations to senior management.
  5. Monitor and track progress of development projects and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and codes.
  6. Manage and allocate resources, including budget and staff, to support the planning and development department's goals and objectives.
  7. Communicate and present updates, proposals, and reports to senior management, elected officials, and the public.
  8. Foster partnerships and collaboration with other city departments, government agencies, and community organizations to advance development initiatives.
  9. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in urban planning and share knowledge with the team.
  10. Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Urban Planning, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Planning And Development, Preferably In A Municipal Government Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Local Zoning And Land Use Regulations, As Well As State And Federal Planning Laws.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Stakeholders And Community Members.

  • Experience In Project Management, Including Budgeting, Planning, And Implementing Development Projects.
