Recreation Coordinator

Under the direction of the Recreation Manager, this position plans, organizes, coordinates, and implements a variety of services and activities in order to provide the community with recreational programs. Perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of assigned area of responsibility. Plans, organizes and coordinates recreation programs. Provides exemplary customer service to all individuals; maintaining a positive customer service environment. Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of program goals and objectives. Coordinates program billing, payments, and contracts. Oversees program events and activities. Prepares, updates and maintains reports, correspondence and staff manuals.

Pismo Beach is a city on California's Central Coast. It's known for its wineries and many beaches. The Monarch Butterfly Grove shelters monarch butterflies that migrate to Pismo State Beach in the cooler months. Atop a rugged bluff, Dinosaur Caves Park has trails with ocean views and a playground. Other green spaces include Chumash Park, with its wetlands, and Margo Dodd Park, on a bluff.
