  1. Conduct routine water sampling and testing procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all water sampling and testing activities.
  3. Monitor and report any abnormalities or discrepancies in water quality to the appropriate authorities.
  4. Perform quality control checks on equipment and materials used for water sampling and testing.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures for water sampling and testing.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to identify and troubleshoot any issues related to water quality.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling hazardous materials.
  8. Keep up-to-date with current environmental regulations and scientific advancements in water testing.
  9. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders regarding water sampling and testing results.
  11. Assist in the training and supervision of new science technicians.
  12. Keep accurate inventory of supplies and materials needed for water sampling and testing.
  13. Participate in meetings and conferences related to water quality and environmental science.
  14. Ensure compliance with all city policies and procedures.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  16. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and efficiency in water sampling and testing processes.
  17. Represent the city in a professional and responsible manner at all times.
  18. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Chemistry, Or Related Field.

  • Experience With Water Sampling Techniques And Equipment, Including Knowledge Of Epa Standards And Protocols.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Analytical Techniques Used In Water Quality Analysis.

  • Ability To Accurately Record And Report Data, And Maintain Detailed Records.

  • Strong Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
