- Oversee and manage all financial operations for the City of Philadelphia's Finance Department.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and sound financial management.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve department goals.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to develop and execute strategic financial initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for increased efficiency and cost savings.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and city officials.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial reports and submissions, including but not limited to budget proposals and audits.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in financial management and make recommendations for implementation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies and financial institutions.
- Manage and oversee the department's budget and expenditures, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Address any financial issues or concerns raised by internal or external stakeholders.
- Act as a representative of the Finance Department and the city in financial matters.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Stay informed of any changes in regulations or laws that may impact the department's financial operations.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all financial activities.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Finance, Accounting Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Finance, Budgeting, And Operations Management.
Strong Knowledge Of Financial Regulations, Budgeting Processes, And Accounting Principles.
Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing And Leading A Team.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Departments And Stakeholders.
