As the Operations Director, you will play a critical role in overseeing all financial operations for the city, ensuring sound financial management and compliance with regulations.   1. Oversee and manage all financial operations for the City of Philadelphia's Finance Department.
  2. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and sound financial management.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve department goals.
  4. Collaborate with other department leaders to develop and execute strategic financial initiatives.
  5. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for increased efficiency and cost savings.
  6. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and city officials.
  7. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial reports and submissions, including but not limited to budget proposals and audits.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in financial management and make recommendations for implementation.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies and financial institutions.
  10. Manage and oversee the department's budget and expenditures, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  11. Address any financial issues or concerns raised by internal or external stakeholders.
  12. Act as a representative of the Finance Department and the city in financial matters.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  14. Stay informed of any changes in regulations or laws that may impact the department's financial operations.
  15. Maintain the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all financial activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Finance, Accounting Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Finance, Budgeting, And Operations Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Financial Regulations, Budgeting Processes, And Accounting Principles.

  • Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing And Leading A Team.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Departments And Stakeholders.
