In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our LMS to support the professional development of our employees.   1. Manage the implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) for the City of Philadelphia.
  2. Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the LMS to ensure it meets the needs of the organization and its employees.
  3. Collaborate with various departments to identify training and development needs and create engaging learning experiences using the LMS.
  4. Develop and maintain training materials and resources for the LMS, including user guides and training manuals.
  5. Train and provide ongoing support to employees on how to use the LMS effectively.
  6. Monitor and analyze the usage and effectiveness of the LMS, making recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
  7. Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in learning technology to continuously improve the LMS.
  8. Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure the LMS is functioning optimally and meeting the needs of the organization.
  9. Act as a project manager for LMS-related initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the LMS aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the LMS.
  12. Communicate updates, changes, and new features of the LMS to employees effectively.
  13. Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to the LMS.
  14. Act as a subject matter expert on the LMS, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to the LMS to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Education, Instructional Design, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Managing A Learning Management System.

  • Strong Understanding Of Instructional Design Principles And Adult Learning Theory.

  • Experience With Implementing And Administering Online Learning Programs.

  • Proficient In Lms Software, Such As Blackboard Or Canvas, And Other Online Learning Tools.
