- Oversee and manage all code enforcement activities within the City of Philadelphia, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Lead and supervise a team of code enforcement officers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality and efficient services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve code compliance and promote safety and quality in the built environment.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to address complex and high-priority code enforcement issues.
- Review and interpret building codes and regulations, and provide guidance and assistance to code enforcement officers and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and properties to identify and address potential code violations.
- Work closely with property owners, tenants, and other stakeholders to resolve code violations and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of code enforcement activities, violations, and compliance.
- Develop and implement training programs for code enforcement officers and other stakeholders to promote understanding and compliance with codes and regulations.
- Stay updated on new and emerging codes, regulations, and industry best practices to continuously improve code enforcement processes and procedures.
- Represent the City of Philadelphia in meetings, hearings, and other forums related to code enforcement and building safety.
- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to promote education and awareness of building codes and regulations.
- Develop and monitor budgets for code enforcement activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth among code enforcement staff.
- Uphold the values and mission of the City of Philadelphia in all interactions and decisions.
Bachelor's Degree In Construction Management, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Building Code Enforcement And Compliance.
Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Building Codes And Regulations.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With Experience Managing A Team Of Code Enforcement Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Departments.
