  1. Develop and implement strategic HR plans and initiatives that align with the City's goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee all aspects of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and policy development.
  3. Lead and manage a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with department leaders and employees to understand their needs and address any concerns.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HR, and make recommendations for process improvements and innovations.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to HR.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement training programs and initiatives that support employee development and engagement.
  8. Use data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase employee satisfaction and retention.
  9. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, and work to resolve them promptly and effectively.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Represent the City in HR-related matters, both internally and externally, including participating in meetings and events.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  13. Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on HR-related matters, including performance management and employee relations.
  14. Collaborate with labor unions and negotiate collective bargaining agreements.
  15. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that values diversity and promotes employee well-being.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Hr Leadership Role, Preferably In A Municipal Or Government Setting.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Hr Policies, Procedures, And Best Practices, Including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Benefits, And Labor Laws.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Mentor A Team Of Hr Professionals.

  • Experience With Hr Information Systems And Technology, Including Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Hr Software.
