Job Description

The City of Philadelphia is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as an Emergency Management Liaison Officer (EMLO). The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact between the City of Philadelphia and its emergency management partners at the state and federal levels. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and a commitment to public safety. The EMLO will work closely with the Emergency Management team to ensure that the City of Philadelphia is prepared for any emergency and that the City is able to provide the highest level of emergency services to the community. Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or a related field • At least 3 years of experience in emergency management, public safety, or a related field• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to emergency management• Familiarity with emergency management systems and procedures• Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to think creatively and problem-solve quickly• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent organizational and time management skills • Demonstrated commitment to public safety and emergency management
