- Oversee all safety and loss prevention operations, including risk assessments, audits, and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to safety and loss prevention.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety and loss prevention programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with city departments and agencies to identify potential safety hazards and develop plans to mitigate them.
- Manage a team of safety and loss prevention professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends to continuously improve safety and loss prevention efforts.
- Communicate safety and loss prevention policies and procedures to all city employees and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations, such as law enforcement and emergency services, to enhance safety and loss prevention efforts.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to city leaders on safety and loss prevention initiatives.
- Develop and manage the safety and loss prevention budget.
- Represent the city in safety and loss prevention matters and serve as a spokesperson for the department.
- Coordinate with other city departments to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to safety and loss prevention.
- Conduct trainings and workshops for city employees on safety and loss prevention protocols.
- Foster a culture of safety and accountability throughout the city.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Safety And Loss Prevention Management, Preferably In A Municipal Or Government Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Or A Related Field. Master's Degree Preferred.
Extensive Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Safety Regulations, Codes, And Standards.
Proven Ability To Develop And Implement Effective Safety Programs, Policies, And Procedures.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Safety Professionals.
