  1. Operate and maintain water treatment facilities in compliance with state and federal regulations.

  9. Communicate with the public and address any concerns or inquiries related to the city's water treatment processes.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  11. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to water treatment.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  13. Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the City of Los Angeles in a positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education, With Coursework In Chemistry Or Environmental Science Preferred.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Water Treatment Plant Operations, With A Strong Understanding Of Water Treatment Processes And Equipment.

  • Valid California State Water Resources Control Board Water Treatment Operator Certification, Grade T2 Or Higher.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Water Quality And Treatment, Including Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team In A Fast-Paced And Sometimes Stressful Environment.
