  1. Conduct thorough and efficient investigations into complex and high-profile cases.
  2. Collaborate and communicate effectively with a team of detectives and officers.
  3. Utilize advanced investigative techniques and tools to gather and analyze evidence.
  4. Prepare detailed reports and documentation of investigative findings.
  5. Identify and interview witnesses, suspects, and victims to gather information and evidence.
  6. Conduct surveillance and undercover operations as needed.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards at all times.
  8. Testify in court and provide expert testimony when necessary.
  9. Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and procedures related to law enforcement and investigative work.
  10. Participate in training and development programs to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  11. Handle sensitive and potentially dangerous situations with professionalism and composure.
  12. Work closely with other law enforcement agencies and departments as needed.
  13. Conduct follow-up investigations and gather additional evidence as needed.
  14. May be required to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the City of Los Angeles Police Department.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Police Officer With A Proven Track Record Of Successful Investigations.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Or A Related Field.

  • Completion Of Specialized Training In Investigative Techniques, Such As Interview And Interrogation, Evidence Collection, And Crime Scene Processing.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Law Enforcement Agencies And Departments.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws, As Well As Understanding Of Criminal Court Procedures And Legal Standards Of Evidence.
