- Oversee and supervise a team of custodial staff in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of various city buildings and facilities.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure all areas are consistently maintained to high standards.
- Train and mentor custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleaning standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule and prioritize cleaning tasks.
- Respond to and resolve any custodial-related issues or complaints from staff or community members.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations related to custodial work.
- Monitor budget and expenses related to custodial services and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Continuously seek out ways to improve and streamline custodial operations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in cleaning products and techniques.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among custodial staff.
- Represent the City of Los Angeles in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Custodial Or Facilities Maintenance Setting.
Knowledge Of Cleaning Techniques, Equipment Operation, And Cleaning Chemicals, As Well As Osha And Epa Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Delegate Tasks.
Familiarity With Budget Management, Inventory Control, And Scheduling To Ensure Efficient Use Of Resources.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Additional Training Or Certification In Custodial Or Facilities Management Preferred.
