  1. Conduct regular inspections of public structures and buildings to ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  2. Document and report any violations or potential hazards to the proper authorities.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement safety and compliance protocols.
  4. Communicate effectively with building owners, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns.
  5. Keep accurate records of inspection findings and maintain organized files.
  6. Assist senior inspectors in conducting more complex inspections and investigations.
  7. Stay up-to-date with current safety and building codes and regulations.
  8. Support the city's efforts to improve and maintain the safety and livability of public structures and buildings.
  9. Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure compliance with any previously identified issues.
  10. Maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism while representing the city during inspections and interactions with the public.
  11. Assist in training and mentoring new inspectors.
  12. Work independently and efficiently to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
  13. Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to inquiries and complaints.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and use proper protective equipment while on inspection sites.
  15. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to the inspection process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
