The successful candidate should possess strong technical skills and the ability to apply accounting principles and processes to support the City’s financial objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to join a dynamic organization and contribute to the City’s success through their expertise and dedication. The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least three years of professional accounting experience. An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards is essential in order to be successful in this role. In addition, the successful candidate should have a working knowledge of computerized accounting systems and demonstrate the ability to analyze financial data and present findings in an organized and meaningful manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a customer service orientation, are also essential.
