Senior Paralegal

We are looking for an experienced Senior Paralegal to join the City of Fresno's Legal Department. This position will provide critical legal support to the City Attorney, Deputy City Attorneys, and other City staff. The Senior Paralegal will assist with a variety of legal projects and must have a strong understanding of municipal law and excellent legal research skills. The ideal candidate will be professional and organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Required qualifications include:• A minimum of 5 years of recent, progressively responsible paralegal experience• Knowledge of administrative and municipal law• Excellent research and writing skills• Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and other City staff• Experience with document management systems and other software programs• A paralegal certificate from an accredited program, or an associate degree in paralegal studies• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion
