Job Description

The City of Fresno is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Budget Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional financial advice and support to City departments as well as analyzing, forecasting, and managing the City's financial resources. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and techniques, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. If you have a passion for public service and a commitment to financial excellence, we want to hear from you.Minimum qualifications for the position include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field and at least two years of professional experience in budget analysis, forecasting, financial management, and/or financial consulting. Experience in a government setting is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must also have a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to effectively communicate complex financial information, and have the ability to work independently and proactively.
