Job Description

  1. Operate and maintain refrigeration equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of refrigeration systems to ensure proper functionality.
  3. Troubleshoot and address any issues or malfunctions with refrigeration equipment.
  4. Monitor and regulate temperature, pressure, and other variables in refrigeration systems.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
  6. Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  7. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  8. Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other staff members to coordinate tasks and ensure proper operation of refrigeration equipment.
  9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  10. Continuously strive to improve skills and knowledge related to refrigeration equipment and safety protocols.
  11. Exercise proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For This Position To Ensure Basic Educational Qualifications.

  • Valid Driver's License: A Valid Driver's License Is Required To Operate The City's Equipment And Transport Materials To And From Job Sites.

  • Refrigeration Certification: Applicants Must Possess A Valid Refrigeration Certification From An Accredited Institution, Demonstrating Knowledge Of Refrigeration Principles And Safety Procedures.

  • Prior Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Refrigerator Equipment Operator Or In A Related Field Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of The Job Responsibilities And Is Familiar With The Equipment And Tools Used.

  • Physical Fitness: This Position Requires Heavy Lifting, Climbing, And Prolonged Periods Of Standing And Walking. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform The Physical Demands Of The Job.
