  1. Oversee the implementation and management of the Department of Human Services programs in the City of Detroit.
  2. Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the department, including setting goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
  3. Utilize technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's programs.
  4. Analyze data and identify trends to inform decision making and program development.
  5. Develop and manage budgets for department programs.
  6. Collaborate with team members and other city departments to ensure effective program delivery.
  7. Lead and mentor a team of program analysts and coordinators.
  8. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in program management and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to support program goals.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  11. Prepare and present reports and updates on program performance to senior management and city officials.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve program processes and procedures for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Handle any issues or challenges that arise in program implementation and management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Computer Science, Business Administration, Or Public Administration.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Program Management, Preferably Within A Government Agency.

  • Proven Experience In Managing Large-Scale Programs And Projects, Including Budgeting, Resource Allocation, And Stakeholder Management.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Address Program Inefficiencies And Make Data-Driven Decisions.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Complex Information To Diverse Audiences.
