  1. Enforce environmental health regulations: The Environmental Health Specialist II will be responsible for enforcing all local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental health in the City of Detroit.   2. Promote healthy living practices: The Specialist will work to promote healthy living practices among residents and businesses in the city. This may include developing educational materials, conducting outreach, and providing resources for healthy living.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Health, Public Health, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Environmental Health Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Environmental Health.

  • Certification As A Registered Environmental Health Specialist (Rehs) Or Ability To Obtain Within 6 Months Of Hire.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Educate And Engage With Diverse Communities And Stakeholders.
