- Develop and implement civil engineering plans and designs for various projects within the city, including roads, bridges, and buildings.
- Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather data and assess project feasibility.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
- Prepare and review project proposals, cost estimates, and specifications.
- Monitor and oversee construction projects, ensuring compliance with design plans and specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure projects meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform calculations and analysis to support design decisions and project requirements.
- Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in civil engineering practices.
- Communicate and coordinate with city officials, contractors, and other external parties to facilitate project progress.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
- Assist in the procurement of materials and services needed for projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineering staff.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies in carrying out job duties.
- Represent the city in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Civil Engineering, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.
Professional Engineering (Pe) License In The State Of Michigan.
Strong Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Codes And Regulations Related To Civil Engineering.
Proficiency In Autocad And Other Relevant Engineering Software.
