Recreation Leader

We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic Recreation Leader to join the team at City of Burbank! In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities for all ages. You must be comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds, and be able to create an environment that is both fun and safe.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for the outdoors, and a strong desire to get people involved in recreational activities. You must have experience in program planning, recreation management, or a related field. Responsibilities:

1. Designing and implementing recreational activities for people of all ages and backgrounds
2. Supervising and monitoring recreational activities to ensure safety
3. Assisting in the maintenance of facilities and equipment
4. Developing and managing budgets for recreational activities
5. Hosting special events, such as field trips
6. Creating promotional materials to attract participants
7. Maintaining records of attendance and progress
8. Assisting in the evaluation of participants’ progress
9. Collaborating with other departments and organizations to coordinate recreational activities
10. Ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
