Welcome to the City of Burbank Police Department! We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to serving and protecting our community as a Police Recruit.   1. Act as a representative of the City of Burbank Police Department and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  2. Uphold the values of integrity, respect, and professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, superiors, and members of the community.
  3. Engage in physical and mental training to prepare for the rigors of law enforcement work.
  4. Learn and follow department policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  5. Effectively communicate with colleagues and superiors to receive and follow instructions, provide updates, and collaborate on tasks.
  6. Analyze situations and think critically to make sound decisions in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
  7. Take responsibility for personal actions and decisions and be accountable for their impact on the community.
  8. Develop and maintain positive relationships with members of the community to promote trust and cooperation.
  9. Respond to emergency calls and assist in maintaining public safety and order.
  10. Maintain physical fitness and pass all required physical and written exams.
  11. Complete all required training and certifications to become a certified police officer.
  12. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of the job.
  13. Serve as a role model for other recruits and represent the department with professionalism and dedication.
  14. Continuously learn and improve skills and knowledge related to law enforcement and community service.
  15. Participate in community events and outreach programs to promote community policing and build positive relationships with residents.
