Fleet Maintenance Technician

The City of Burbank is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. Qualifications for this position include a minimum of three years’ experience in fleet maintenance, valid and current driver’s license, knowledge of safety regulations, and experience in the use of diagnostic tools. The successful candidate should also have the ability to read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, lubrication, brake, electrical, and cooling system repairs.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle malfunctions.
3. Repair and replace vehicle parts and components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and exhaust systems.
4. Inspect vehicles for safety and compliance with local regulations.
5. Maintain records of scheduled maintenance, repairs, and parts replacements.
6. Clean and maintain vehicles and work area.
7. Operate and test vehicles for proper performance and safety.
8. Use computerized diagnostic and repair systems to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
9. Address customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
10. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
