  1. Develop and implement the city's technology strategy in line with its overall goals and objectives.
  2. Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and trends, and make recommendations for their integration into the city's operations.
  3. Manage and oversee all technology projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Collaborate with various city departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Mentor and guide a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  6. Ensure the city's technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable to meet current and future demands.
  7. Oversee the procurement of hardware, software, and other technology resources, ensuring they align with the city's budget and needs.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance.
  9. Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to technology and ensure the city's adherence to them.
  10. Prepare and present reports to senior management and city officials on the status of technology projects and initiatives.
  11. Collaborate with other city leaders to identify areas where technology can improve operations and service delivery to residents.
  12. Foster a culture of customer service, ensuring that all technology solutions meet the needs and expectations of the city's employees and residents.
  13. Act as a liaison between the city and external technology organizations, representing the city's interests and promoting collaboration and partnerships.
  14. Ensure the city's technology budget is effectively managed and that resources are allocated appropriately.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve the city's technology processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Technology Department.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Current Technology Trends And Best Practices, With The Ability To Strategically Apply Them To The Organization.
