
Social Worker - Oncology Palliative Care
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join Cincinnati Children's Oncology Palliative Care team. You will have the opportunity to use your clinical skills to provide specialized care to children and families in a supportive environment. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong commitment to our mission of providing quality, family-centered care to those affected by life-threatening illnesses. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a high level of empathy and understanding, and a passion for helping others.The minimum qualifications for this position include a Master's degree in Social Work and 3-5 years of experience in a social work setting. A current Ohio Clinical Social Work License is also required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care to children and families affected by life-threatening illnesses in a supportive environment.
- Utilize clinical skills to provide individual, family, and group therapy services.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions to support families and individuals in their journey.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient, taking into account their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Remain current on best practices in social work and oncology palliative care.
- Advocate for patients and families with respect to accessing relevant resources.
- Collaborate with other clinicians and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and families about pertinent issues, such as treatment options, end-of-life care, and coping strategies.
Licensed Social Worker In The State Of Ohio
Msw Degree From An Accredited School Of Social Work
Two Years Of Experience Working With Children In A Healthcare Setting
