  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for the Pathology department in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of Cincinnati Children's.
  2. Oversee the financial management of the department, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring financial performance.
  3. Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive operational efficiency and excellence within the Pathology department.
  4. Provide leadership and direction to the team of Pathology staff, including recruiting, training, and performance management.
  5. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.
  6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to Pathology services.
  7. Identify and pursue opportunities for growth and expansion of the department's services.
  8. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance and improve the quality of care provided to patients.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as insurance companies and community organizations, to support the department's goals.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to inform decision making and drive innovation within the Pathology department.
  11. Serve as a representative of Cincinnati Children's and the Pathology department at internal and external meetings and events.
  12. Act as a role model for the organization's core values and promote a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and respect.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Pathology Department Or Laboratory Setting.

  • Advanced Degree (Md, Phd Or Equivalent) In Pathology Or Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Operations, Including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, And Budget Management.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Developing Large Teams Of Professionals, Including Pathologists, Laboratory Technicians, And Administrative Staff.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Other Departments And External Partners.
