  1. Provide individual and group counseling services to students in a school setting.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans based on the needs of each student.
  3. Collaborate with school personnel and parents to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.
  4. Conduct assessments and screenings to identify mental health needs and make appropriate referrals.
  5. Advocate for the well-being and success of students by connecting them with necessary resources and support services.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
  7. Stay current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of mental health and apply them in daily practice.
  8. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated care for students.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources.
  10. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  11. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
  12. Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to student care.
  13. Attend trainings and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all student information.
  15. Contribute to a positive and supportive team dynamic.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Social Work Or Counseling: A School-Based Social Worker Or Clinical Counselor At Cincinnati Children's Must Have A Master's Degree In Social Work Or Counseling From An Accredited University.

  • Valid Lisw Or Lpc License In The State Of Ohio: To Be Considered For The Job, The Candidate Must Hold A Valid License As A Licensed Independent Social Worker (Lisw) Or Licensed Professional Counselor (Lpc) In The State Of Ohio.

  • Experience Working With Children And Adolescents: As A School-Based Social Worker Or Clinical Counselor, The Candidate Must Have Experience Working With Children And Adolescents In A School Or Clinical Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Developmental Stages, Family Dynamics, And Mental Health Issues In This Population.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices: The Ideal Candidate Will Have Knowledge And Experience In Implementing Evidence-Based Practices, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, And Solution-Focused Therapy. Familiarity With These Practices Is Essential For Providing Effective And Evidence-Based Interventions To Children And Adolescents.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: School-Based Social Workers And Clinical Counselors At Cincinnati Children's Must Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With School Staff, Parents, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Also Be Able To Document Client Progress And Communicate Effectively With Other Team Members.
