  1. Develop and implement radiation treatment plans for pediatric patients with cancer.
  2. Utilize cutting-edge technology to ensure precise and effective treatment.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to determine the best course of treatment for each patient.
  4. Monitor and assess patient response to treatment and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of treatment plans and patient progress.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  7. Stay up-to-date on advancements in radiation therapy technology and techniques.
  8. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their treatment plans.
  9. Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of treatment plans.
  10. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards related to radiation therapy.
  11. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care.
  12. Demonstrate a high level of compassion and empathy towards pediatric patients and their families.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  15. Attend trainings and conferences to further develop skills and knowledge in the field of pediatric radiation therapy.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Dosimetry Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Dosimetry Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. This Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.

  • Certification As A Medical Dosimetrist: The Candidate Must Be Certified By The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (Mdcb) As A Certified Medical Dosimetrist (Cmd). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Expertise In The Field And Ensures The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Standards For Safe And Accurate Treatment Planning.

  • Experience In Radiation Therapy: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist. This Experience Should Include Experience With Advanced Treatment Techniques Such As Imrt, Vmat, And Sbrt.

  • Knowledge Of Treatment Planning Software: Experience With Treatment Planning Software Is Essential For This Position. The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Using Software Such As Eclipse, Pinnacle, Or Raystation.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Member Of The Radiation Therapy Team, The Dosimetrist Is Responsible For Collaborating With Other Team Members To Ensure The Best Possible Treatment For Patients. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Crucial For Success In This Position.
