Job Description

Cincinnati Children's is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Pharmacy Clinical Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will work with the pharmacy team to ensure that the highest standards of clinical care and medication safety are met. You will be responsible for providing clinical expertise to ensure the appropriate medication management and safety of the patients of Cincinnati Children's. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering quality patient care. We are looking for someone with a passion for improving patient care and ensuring medication safety.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field• Pharmacist license in the State of Ohio• At least 5 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting• Knowledge of current pharmacy practices and standards• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively

Responsibilities: • Provide clinical expertise to ensure appropriate medication management and safety of the patients of Cincinnati Children's • Develop, implement and document clinical pharmacy programs • Monitor and review medication orders for accuracy and potential interactions • Provide drug information to medical staff and other healthcare providers • Develop medication protocols and policies • Monitor medication usage and therapeutic outcomes • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care • Participate in professional development activities • Participate in quality improvement initiatives • Prepare and present educational materials to healthcare providers and staff • Develop and maintain medication formularies • Participate in medication safety initiatives and process improvement activities
