
Pharmacist, Critical Care
Are you an experienced Pharmacist looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children? Cincinnati Children's is looking for a Critical Care Pharmacist to join our team and help with the care and treatment of children with life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in pediatric critical care and a passion for providing excellent care to patients and their families. To be successful in this role, you must have a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and a minimum of two years of pediatric critical care experience. You should also have a current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio. Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based pharmaceutical care to children in the critical care setting
- Monitor and assess patient responses to medication therapies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and monitor patient-specific medication regimens
- Dispense medications accurately and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Educate and counsel patients and families on medication use, side effects, and other related topics
- Participate in interdisciplinary patient rounds, medication reconciliation, and other multidisciplinary activities
- Keep up to date with current pharmacy topics and initiatives related to pediatric critical care
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other applicable laws
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Possess Pharmd Degree Or Equivalent
Current Licensure In Ohio
Previous Experience In A Hospital Or Health System Pharmacy
Previous Experience In A Pediatric Critical Care Setting
Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Team Environment
Ability To Provide Leadership And Direction To Pharmacy Technicians
Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Manage Multiple Responsibilities
