- Provide safe and effective anesthesia services for pediatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-operative assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans for each patient.
- Administer anesthetic agents and monitor patient's vital signs throughout surgery.
- Respond to changes in patient's condition and adjust anesthesia accordingly.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all procedures and patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on anesthesia protocols and post-operative care.
- Stay up-to-date with current anesthesia practices and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Foster a positive and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of anesthesia services.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and uphold ethical standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during the anesthesia process.
- Represent the hospital and anesthesia department in a professional and compassionate manner.
Education: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Nurse Anesthesia From An Accredited Program Is Required. Additional Certification Or Advanced Degree In Anesthesiology Or Related Field Is Preferred.
State Licensure: Must Hold A Current License To Practice As A Registered Nurse And Advanced Practice Registered Nurse In The State Of Ohio. National Certification As A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (Crna) Is Also Required.
Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Crna Is Required, Preferably In A Pediatric Setting. Candidates With Experience In A Level I Pediatric Trauma Center Or Academic Medical Center Will Be Given Preference.
Advanced Skills: Candidates Must Possess Advanced Skills In Administering Anesthesia To Pediatric Patients, Including Infants, Children, And Adolescents. Knowledge Of Current Anesthesia Techniques And Technology Is Also Required.
Teamwork And Communication: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role. The Candidate Must Be Able To Work Effectively As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, Including Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
